No retrofit/conversion led is inspection legal in the us.
Our retrofit LED bulbs are designed to reproduce color temperature equivalent to a halogen bulb, at a safe brightness that does not exceed a 100W halogen equivalent, while still providing a many benefits over a standard-equipment headlight. They have been tested to provide a good beam pattern in our available DOT compliant housings. Federal regulations require headlight fixtures to be designed in a paired/integrated fashion. To maintain cost effectiveness, serviceability, and compatibility with established bulb standards, ours are not. We supply DOT compliant housings, but this compliance is only maintained when using a halogen bulb. Some of our packages include halogen bulbs to help you maintain compliance when needed. Vehicles with antique/collector registration may be exempt to inspection and lighting standards, particularly for show-and-display use. Please consult your local authorities for local regulations/requirements. Otherwise all aftermarket LED bulbs are intended for off-road use only, even in DOT compliant housings. You must adjust your headlights after replacement to ensure a level and properly aimed beam pattern and to not be an a-hole to other drivers.
